Package Spotlight: KSS

Package Spotlight: KSS

Most businesses of any size have a style guide. The designers will use it, developers will use it, and even third-party agencies use it. We landed on KSS for our automatic style guide for two reasons. The first reason was because you build out the style guide inside the CSS/SCSS itself, so it acts as a form of onboarding documentation for new hires. The second reason was because we liked having the style guide not only self-generate each build, but also because it’s interactive. What do the accordions or buttons look like; go look at the style guide to see a real example. It adds an additional layer of quality assurance as well. If the style guide doesn’t look as expected then an appearance bug has been introduced and needs to be corrected.
