April 2019 Release Notes

Some major features were released this month: Smartwaiver integration, communication logs, multiple tax rates, and invoicing.

More importantly we squashed several pesky bugs and worked hard on making the system faster and more performant as well as more secure.

Account Updates

  • Ability to create individual tax rates and apply them to add ons and activities
  • Users can now define custom unit labels to replace “participant” for items being sold as a unit
  • Cleaned up display of user access settings
  • Ability to assign recurrence patterns at the time slot level instead of activity level
  • Businesses can now create an invoice to be sent to customers
  • Users can easily generate booking links for both experiences for integrating onto websites
  • Improved performance for check in functionality
  • Initial integration with Smartwaiver, ability to assign Smartwaiver templates to products
  • Businesses can now define a sort order for product listing instead of default alphabetical order
  • Transaction details pages now include email communication history
  • Fixed an issue where email addresses with uppercase letters was failing validation
  • Fixed an issue where users were unable to remove answer options
  • General performance, resiliency, and security enhancements

Booking and Embedding Updates

  • Users can now be shown a unit label besides “participant”
  • Customers can now pay for an invoice
  • Fixed an issue where calendar download link was not in user language
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes browsers were translating calendar dates improperly
  • Fixed an issue where time slots were sometimes duplicated
  • General performance and security enhancements

General Platform Updates

  • Framework upgrades to make platform more performant and secure
  • Viator bookings now send out a confirmation email to the business
  • System emails are now sent from a queue to provide more stability to the platform
  • Resiliency and security enhancements
